Hiking : degustation of food and wine on the trip



The gastronomy hiking « La vigne en fleur » offers areas of degustation. It take’s place at Meursault and Auxey-Duresses on June 27, 2010.

This gastronomy hiking offers a 7km trip in the heart of the Meursault and Auxey-Duresses vineyards. It starts at Meursault in the “caveau Robert de Grancey”  of the town hall.

The hikers will discover 9 areas of degustation:

1. Welcome drink : kir and gougères
2. Wine degustation : Meursault blanc and salami
3. First course : Meursault blanc and  jambon persillé (ham and parsley)
4. Second course : Auxey-Duresses blanc and  salmon pie with vegetables
5. Degustation : Auxey-Diresses blanc 1er cru, anchovies and comté (cheese)
6. Traditional digestive plate (ice cream with alcohol) Trou Bourguignon au « kiosque du Roi »
7. meal : “bœuf bourguignon” (beef) and sliced potatoes baked with milk and browned on top with Auxey-Duresses rouge 1er cru
8. cheese and Pommard
9. desert: apple pie, crémant de Bourgogne and coffee

The gastronomy hiking will end with a gala. Wine magnums and books about Burgundy will be to win.
